Tea

Tea, a history, a ritual and some tasting notes.

Tea is a drink made from pouring boiled water over leaves from the Camellia sinensis plant, an evergreen shrub, usually called the tea plant, tea shrub or tea tree (but not the one that you get tea tree oil from).

The colour of tea depends on the freshness, most recently picked tea leaves are the least oxidised. They make white tea, the next youngest is yellow tea, then green, oolong and dark teas. Black tea has been oxidised the longest.
